Brief Answer:
Food compatible with peptic ulcer disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for asking from HealthcareMagic.

I can understand your concern. It is sad that you are already taking 3 medications for gastric ulcer. You have to be very careful about the food choices in peptic ulcer disease. It is good that you are taking precautions.

You can take following foods without much discomfort

- Yogurt, curd, buttermilk
- Cold milk with minimum sugar
- sugar free ice cream
- non spicy food which is either cold or at normal room temperature
- Foods that are high in soluble fiber include oats, psyllium husk, legumes, flax seeds, barley, nuts
- Flavonoid-rich foods include garlic, onions, cranberries, strawberries, blueberries, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. These have protective effect on gastric ulcer.
- green tea

For pain relief, you can start with change in diet. Then proceed to life style modification like

- Avoid mental stress
- Daily sleep for at least 8 hours with correct routine
- Avoid alcohol, smoking, aerated drinks
- Avoid binge eating and irregular time of eating
- Eat small meals at frequent intervals. Do not drink water in between.

Regarding medication, I need information about the type of medication you are using. Only after that I can suggest about other medications.

Hope it will help you. If still any doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
