Brief Answer:
Follow the Advises as below..

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and let me inform you that the beginning of investigations for Cardiac functionality as well as health always starts with the standard 12 Lead ECG which gives the electro physiological status of our heart..

This is followed by a standard Treadmill Test or TMT to check for any underlying angina (reduced blood supply to the coronaries causing chest-pain and discomfort)..

For assessment of Cardiac chambers, coronaries, valves and pulmonary vusculature , there's 2D-Echocardiography and Color Doppler studies..

This is also accompanied by a simple Chest X-ray which gives proper details of cardio-thoracic structures as well as the diaphragm..

Amongst the blood investigations, there's Lipid profile, CRP, LDH levels and a few more specific investigations based on clinical findings of the person..

So in short , the first and foremost step is to get clinically checked by a Physician or a Cardiologist and as per symptoms and clinical findings, the relevant tests can be further performed..

There are several different scans, studies available but they are only applicable to patients' with relevant symptoms and clinical findings..

I hope this will clear your doubt..feel free to let me know if you're having any further doubts..

Take Care
Regards
