Question: Dear Doctor,
I have been feeling fluttering sensations - fetal like movements since January 2015. I did experience like pregnancy symptoms in which I was proven not pregnant ( negative pregnancy tests and negative ultra sound). The midwife reported that there was no evidence of any cysts on my womb, fibroids, nor the presence of a fetus. However, I just tossed it as a phantom pregnancy. Eventually I found a woman ( whom runs a clinic and hotline called cryptic/stealth pregnancies) and the information she presented me sounded like me altogether--- fetal movement activities, losing weight, continued menstrual cycles; sore breast all common symptoms of pregnancy. First I want to say I had naseau, sore breast, and all pregnant symptoms but the only thing there is no baby. My stomach continues to knot up. Have you ever heard of Cryptic pregnancy- a situation, in which a woman carries a baby longer than 9 months usually giving birth- on average between 17 months - 4 yrs? And the reason the doctors can not discover the fetuses because the woman does not carry sufficient HCG levels which allows her to menstruate every month. The women in the facebook group told me they carried their babies for 17 months to 2 years. And their babies were all healthy. They never received medical confirmation from doctors or medical professions because their babies were not found on ultra sounds and they never received a positive blood or urine testing. In many cases they were forced to have their babies in their homes. Is it possible maybe I have serious gas trouble or tumors moving around inside my stomach? Could the movement be just that? The reasons I have not seen a doctor since last year because of my inability to afford health insurance. I know the sensations I feel are very real. Have you ever heard of Cryptic Pregnancies? Are they medically possible Please help! Thank you!
