Brief Answer:
FNAC/Biopsy is confirmatory

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.

To recapitulate: Female/77 - can feel the lump - Dr ordered mammogram but the result is normal - wants to know whether to have another examination or ask for someone else to read this one.....

Considering the age of 77 and definite feeling of a lump, I would advise you to for for ultrasonography and guided FNAC that is fine needle aspiration cytology. In the hands of experts this has very high sensitivity and specificity.
In the rare event of inconclusive FNAC Excision biopsy is the best solution to get the most proper diagnosis and a plan for further management if needed.

I hope this answer helps you in decision making, please feel free to ask for further relevant query if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
