me and my girlfriend had sex without any protection about 40 days ago. and she din get the periods. she is late by 10 days. she cant take the tests because she is in hostel right now. so kindly suggest some ways to know about the fact if she is pregnant (HOME IDEAS) and also the ways to stop it .

Thanks for the query to hcm,
As she has missed her menses by more than 8 days already post unprotected intercourse last cycle, the best way to rule out pregnancy anyhow would be to undertake a home urine pregnancy test with a pregnancy kit with early morning mid stream urine sample. If there are two lines then pregnancy is confirmed.
however , increased progesterone and hcg levels can cause nausea , headache and vomiting with distaste. these symptoms are similar to those of PMS as well and hence not conclusive at all.
So best would be a urine pregnancy test or a serum beta hcg test for ruling out pregnancy.
Please review with the pregnancy report for further advise.

If you had se on the third day of her menses, then it is unlikely for her to get pregnant as she was in her safe period and in absence of any ovulation , fertilisation is not possible , hence she would be pregnancy safe in that case. But its better to get a serum beta hcg test done to rule it out anyways and if the test is negative then the present delay can be due to stress induced hormonal imbalance.
So get a serum beta hcg or a urine pregnancy test done anyhow for her.
