Question : Hi Doctor,
I am XXXXXXX calling from XXXXXXX Recently i got married and we had unprotected sex after 16th day of her date. and generally her menstrual cycle usual comes on 3th of this month and since due to our god rituals of my marriage she has taken tabs for delaying menstrual cycle on 3,4 and 5th now she didnt get the period still now.So how can i know whether its delayed due to pregnancy or tabs because we dont want it so please kindly suggest us...

She should get a serum beta hcg test done, which is a blood test to rule out pregnancy conclusively. If the hcg levels are less than 3mIU then she is surely not pregnant and the delay is due to the progesterone pills taken. If the test is negative then she can safely wait for the menses to return within next 7 days.
Please get the serum beta hcg test done.

Thanks for the kind suggestion , she will get it surely done,but if the pregnancy is confirmed since we dont want it to be happen now.
Please tell us the abortion procedure is safe and pls tell us the abortion does affect our future pregnancy and also abortion can be done at any doctor and please suggest us any doctor for doing it in XXXXXXX it would be very helpful for us.

If pregnancy is confirmed then an ultrasound pelvis is required to confirm intrauterine location of pregnancy and rule out ectopic. Post that medical termination can be opted for under a gynaecologist supervision with a set of medicines prescribed in a set protocol to achieve success.
Only a gynecologist can prescribe these meds to you if his or her hospital is registered for MTP. So please meet one.
