Suggest Medication Dosage And Diet For High Glucose Level

Question: I am haviving Bigomet SR 500 in morning and evening.
My Glucose level is measuring to 140 fasting.

Please advice if I need to increase the dose to 3 times a day or any other medication.

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You need to increase the dose if it is with your best efforts.
I mean with diabetic diet and exercise.
In case not then increase your efforts as you are just near to target level of Fasting less then 126 mg/dl.
In case you are doing your best then don't increase it to thrice a day.
Start with Metformin 850 mg twice a day and see the results.
If you start on this get your blood sugar Fasting and Postprandial (With metfory after breakfast) after 15 days and revert back to me.
