Answered by Dr. Ashwini Kolur (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Norflox empirically, but go for urine routine initially

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I would like to know what symptoms you are having?
Have you done any investigation that suggest that you have UTI?

If patient presents to me in my clinic with symptoms of UTI, I usually ask him to get urine routine examination done. Based on the investigation report I would decide on the need of antibiotic.

I empirically prescribe tablet norflox 400 mg twice daily for three days and along with it I'll ask them to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice which will be beneficial in UTI.

Hope this helps.
Take care
