Question: Hi doctor XXXXXXX hope you well and had a good new year! Dr XXXXXXX I am very sick and have a heavy chest infection. Iv been prescribed with medicine called amoclav its amoxicillin and clavulin I'm really scared because I'm on the pill what do I do? I told the doctor that I'm on the pill and he gave me this medication.Doctor the medicine name is Amoclan forfeits amoxillin and clavulanic acid 625mg and in taking fludrex

Hello dear, wish you a very happy new year.
I'm feeling so sad listening to the fact that you got sick just after marriage but hope for speedy recovery.
Amoxyclav is a good antibiotic and will be helpful in treating it well so jeeo taking it.
As far as contraception is concerned it is the start week of pill pack so will not interfere with contraceptive benefits of the pill but still since the frequency of intercourse is more in initial months use condom in addition from day 10 to day 20 of the cycle.
