Suggest Medication For Degenerative Disk And Fibromyalgia

Question: Just because the CDC came out with these guidelines about Opioids, my doctor will not fill my Hydrocodone anymore. I have to go to pain management, which is very expensive co-pay. I know that the XXXXXXX was passed in the House and now goes to Senate. I have been taking Hydrocodone for over 32 years as I have CPPD, Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Arthritis, Degenerative disk in back, fibromyalgia, a deformed left foot from a botched bunionectomy where I developed a Staff infection in the hospital and it shredded my tendons and ligaments. I would have to get shots all over my body and shots are very expensive as my insurance hardly pays for them and I don't want to be a pin cushion. Is it okay for the doctor to continue prescribing Hydrocodone?

Brief Answer:
Strict regulations bar the doctor from practice

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for what had happened to you.
You seem to have multitude of symptoms that put you in pain in everyday life. Your daily activities seem to be hampering because of these wear and tear and pain thoughout the day.
There is no harm in prescribing Hydrocodone to continue leading dependent free and comfortable life.
If the regulations stop the doctor to practise what he is supposed to, who will care about the person suffering.
If you are dependent on opiates and now there it is not easy to get it, you should look for other altenative pain therapies like accupressure, chiropractice, acupuncture.
Unfortunately the insurance sector does not recognize them.
I suggest you to fly out of your country to practise right yoga for three to four months. If you practise it for three months you will not need these opiates or pain management.

My thoughts will be with you. All the best and good health.
