Question : I have an older patient, 80 years, with recent onset of diarrea and the consequent problem of soiling in public.
Is there a simple mdication program to control his diarrhea. I am sure it is non infectious in origin.
Thanks, XXXXXXX XXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using our service. I will feel better finding the cause of the diarrhea. I understand that does not look like infectious but other possibilities should be evaluated before we treat it. Simple things as reviewing the his diet and medication should be done . There are products over the counter that can be used but will need stool samples and colonoscopy if still with it for more than a week.
