Question : My wife is one minth pregnent and suffering from high fever / body pain / high head pain with cough and blocked nose. From past three days. Dr had given crocin thrice and zifi 200 twice a day . But no signs of recovery. What should i do. Fever is above 101.

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
This is a viral fever.
It does not need actual antibiotics.
If fever has persisted beyond 3 days, please get blood reports done.
CBC, Urine Routine microscopy , Chest X ray ( yes, even in pregnancy, one x ray wont harm her ), LFT, Urea, Creatinine, RBS, Dengue serology, QBC for malaria etc.
SHe should take steam inhalation with Vicks thrice a day, take Tablet Limcee once a day ( vitamin C ), Honitus cough syrup three times a day.
She should be better in a week's time, but dengue and malaria should be ruled out , as they are epidemic right now.
Which city do you reside ?
When was her last menstrual period ?
Has a sonography been done to check on the fetus ?
