Hi,

I have gone through your concerns carefully and can say as following:

1. The very first thing to get hemorrhoids healed include:
- increase in water intake
- take foods high in fiber content
- stool softeners and laxatives

All these will soften the stool, and ease bowel movement, thus, less irritation is caused to anal mucosa.

2. Local treatment is highly recommended too. Generally, I usually prescribe anal cream containing lidocaine and zinc oxide.

3. Preparation H is also good in treating anal irritation due to hemorrhoids.
