Question : I have schizophrenia, my husband is a paid carer, he gets me to work 60 hours a week, while he does nothing, I don't know how to get out of this situation. It is making me feel unwell.

I really appreciate your efforts that with schizophrenia you are stable and working. It is not justifiable that your husband is not working. The best way to solve this problem is couple counseling. He should be counseled by a professional like psychologist or psychiatrist. He should be explained about your illness, your capacity and limitations as well as his duty as a husband. He should try to make your marital relationship smoother and healthier.
If he is ready for counseling it is good. In case if does not agree, take help of close relative or friend who can convince him.
