Brief Answer:
Viral or bacterial infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
The throat infection with cough in 4th month of pregnancy is likely due to viral or bacterial infection.
She can take azithromycin tablet 500 mg once a day for 3 days, and syrup grilinctus 2 tablespoons 3 times a day.
These are completely safe in pregnancy.
If not relieved by these medications in 3-5 days, then an ENT specialist should be consulted for proper examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
