Brief Answer:
Norethisterone pill should be taken to postpone period.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) I can suggest you to take Norethisterone pill 5 mg twice daily, at least 3 days prior to expected date of period. You can take it as long as you want to postpone your period (max 1 week).

2) There is NO effect on breastfeeding if you have taken those pills. You will get your period like withdrawal bleeding within 5-7 days after stopping them.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care.

Brief Answer:
You can use progesterone tab.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back again.

1) Norethisterone may suppress the production of breast milk and alter the composition of the breast milk. However, its percentage is less than 5% if it is taken for long term period.

2) Norethisterone itself is a progesterone tablet. Therefore, same group of drug will effect same functionality.

Hope, it helps for your information. Good luck and take care.
