Question : I just had my period and it was late for 14 days and I am going on vacation in two days. I am 20 years old and i really want to stop it before i go on vacation. What can i use from over the counter medications?
Brief Answer:
You may use a progestogen.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Most often, the bleeding should subside in 3-4 days and in that case, you need not use anything as you have ample time.
If, you do not stop bleeding and wish to do so early, you need to use a progestogen to arrest the bleeding. This needs to be used in the optimum dose necessary for keeping the bleeding at bay and for a longer period of time, say, for 20 days. This is done so as to arrest any breakthrough bleed.
Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.
