Question : why would a doctor put me on a seizure medication that has a side effect of worse or more frequent seizures
when I had seizures to begin with... That's what she is trying to treat? QUESTION 2... what can I use that is prescription besides a narcotic to treat migraine headaches? I have tried numerous medications such as blood pressure medications and anti seizure medications trying to treat migranes.. Any reason why for the 1st question?

I have tried inderal LA
Topamax
Reglan with benadryl..
Cyclobenzapine....
Excedrin
NO RELIEF

Regarding the first question, it is difficult to answer, as no neurologist should put a patient on a medication that increases the seizure frequency.
Regarding the second question, if your migraine has not responded to the conventional medications, then, Botox injections may be tried. Botox has been shown to be effective in people with frequent migraine episodes.
