Suggest Medication To Treat Migraine Headaches

Question: Hi, I had a headache that started yesterday but has been worse today. It is solely on the right side of my head. It has gotten worse as the day went on even after taking Aleve. Not only that but the vision (only on the right side) is blurry. I had an eye exam at the doctor earlier and they said it was worse on that side. The headache feels worse when I move my eyes to the right side or turn my head to the right side. I have also been a little dizzy and have mild tingling/numbness on my three middle fingers on my right hand. I have done all the stroke tests and everything else is fine but I wanted to see if I should be more concerned or if this could be caused by something else.I saw a primary care today and they said they were sure but to be safe to go to the emergency room. My BP was 127/87 and my pulse was normal when I left there. I wanted to get your thoughts here before I had to go wait at the emergency room/ have that expense and see if something else may be causing this. Thanks!
Brief Answer:
Get examined by a doctor preferably and get investigated as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Possibility of migraine headache is likely.
Is there similar episodes of headache with milder intensity previously too?
Any associated nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light or sound?
Any fever, neck stiffness?
Get evaluated and examined in ER.
May be CT head can be done after evaluation.
You can take pain killers like naproxen 500 mg twice daily for 3-4 days.
Avoid fasting, skipping meals, excessive tea, coffee or chocolates.
Take timely meals and proper night sleep.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

There is no associated nausea or vomiting and from what I can tell light has on effect. When the Urgent care doctor checked my eyes it had no effect.
My neck is not stiff and there is no pain there. I have taken OTC medication for headache but not helping.
My major concern is the associated blurriness in the right eye and tingling in the three middle fingers. Can that be associated with a migraine as well.
I am just wondering if it makes sense to just get into my primary cares office tomorrow morning or if it requires an emergency room visit tonight.
Also no fever or sensitivity to sound

Brief Answer:
visit and consult in an ER
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Monocular blurring of sudden onset requires evaluation urgently as it may be optic neuritis or retinal detachment or stroke.
Tingling in 3 fingers may be due to central as well as peripheral cause.
It is better to get examined and get a brain imaging done.
If the symptoms are of primary headache, then no further investigations required.
