Question: Hello, I asked a question a while back regarding having an injection for a Doppler ultrasound of the penis. The first time I had an injection done on the right side, and I was unable to get a full erection. The injection caused the right side to swell up more and made my penis curve to the left.

Well I got a second one done and the same exact thing happened. This time it was done on the left side. With stimulation I was able to get a weak erection but it quickly faded. The left side swelled up a little more than the right causing it to bend to the right. As I was unable to maintain a full erection they couldn't complete the vascular study. I was offered to be injected with a higher dosage or come back in at a later date to attempt to repeat the ultrasound. I chose to come back in later, because I felt that it just wasn't happening at that time.

Here is strange thing. I seem to respond to Viagra or Cialis better than I did to the injections. In fact, the night before I had the 2nd test done, I woke up in the middle of the night with a hard erection and ejaculated. The erection I had then was better that what I was able to get in the doctor's office with a Trimix injection.

What could cause someone to be able to respond better to Viagra than to Trimix injections? I thought injections were the stronger drug.

I too am surprised of the results of the Doppler. It was with a different doctor and radiologist, and I like this doctor and radiologist. I'll see how much he gave me, but he did say he used a low dosage.

I have a possibly related question: In the past I had used a penis pump and did a technique called jelqing. Over time I actually did see an increase in penis girth, which seems to be permanent, my erections seemed okay until one day (about a year ago) I overdid it with the penis pumping where it expanded a lot more than normal, had some numbness and since then I have had a harder time maintaining erections. The numbness went away but the size difference (when fully erect) and erection quality stayed the same. What I don't understand is what is going on physically that causes a lasting increase in size, and could this be related to my suspected vascular issues? I was under the impression that the tunica albuginea doesn't really stretch that much.

Thanks, I will try the Cialis. From what I understand a daily dosage won't really cure anything but may help while I'm taking it. Is this correct? Does continual usage lose its effectiveness over time?

I no longer use a pump or jelqing, I stopped after I injured myself a year ago. I was stupid doing it in the first place. I did see size gains, but with the cost of erection quality.

I am wondering, if the pumping and jelqing could have caused my persistent erectile dysfunction? Is venous leak usual something that occurs spontaneously, or as a result of injury? I am young and in otherwise good health, it seems venous leak is more commonly seen in elderly men.
