Suggest Medicines For Pain Due To Gunshot Wound On Face

Please, stick to the drugs that help most!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this gunshot wound you suffered and the pains that you have reported. I am very happy to hear you do not want to depend on narcotics for relief but if this is what makes you feel better, I will recommend that you consider taking the drugs. The truth is that you have this wound, permanent and extensive damage that we are certainly unable to reverse. what we can do is to manage the complications and limit the suffering associated with this. What I would not like you to do is inflict another suffering by avoiding what helps you because of the fear side effects. There is no drug without side effects. Trileptal, though not a narcotic, has aggravated your anxiety and this is a recognized side effect of this medication. This is to say fishing around would definitely not provide a drug free of all possible side effects.
There are several pain medications out there. The degree of your pain seems concerning and what can offer real relief seems to be narcotics. I will suggest you keep to it as multiple trials of less potent medications would not provide a better quality of pain control.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Again thank you for your reply.
Very good start!

Hi and thanks for this follow up information.
I must say you started off very well by not asking for narcotics. In your follow up visits, tell him your pain hasn't change and for sure he would want to try a new drug. He may even asked you what drugs you have tried before for this condition and that would be a good opening to come in. He would tell that you were not seeking medications as you accepted the first prescription without any complaints and but for the lack of relief, you wouldn't have been touching on this again.
I do not know what he wants to look for specifically on the CT scan. Keep me updated as you get more information. Use the passive approach and sure you would figure out and get the best pain medication for your condition with time.
I hope this helps. Keep me posted. I wish you well.
