Question : Hello Doctor,

I looking for an advise on prepone or postpone the period as there is a important function at my home. Last month I had my period on 15th May. I usually get my period 3-5 days before last month's date. So this time I'm expecting anytime 11th to 13th XXXXXXX And I want to avoid the period till 17th XXXXXXX Can you please suggest whether to prepone or postpone the period and advise the medicine for the same and how long I should be taking.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

You should postpone the periods.

Start progesterone only pills from now and keep eating once a day till the day you do not want periods and then stop.

You will get periods after that.
