Brief Answer: Other medicines are available Detailed Answer: Hi there I am Dr Saumya Mittal I am going to try and help you with your query. There are many available medicines for Parkinsons disease. The most effective is dopamine. But the dopamine gets its affect low slowly. Therefore it has not been used as first line now. Rasageline is what you told me you are on. SO that leaves a large number of medicines that can be used still. The other possible medicines that can be used are listed below Pramipexole, Ropinirole, Bromocriptine, Amantadine and Anticholinergic medications Entacapone Some other medicines have off the label use in Parkinsons disease- Other medications may include: Memantine, rivastigmine, galantamine Gabapentin, duloxetine Antidepressants Armodafinil, clonazepam, zolpidem However this group is more important for some specific conditions associated with parkinsons disease
