Brief Answer:
Painless vaccines are not advisable in routine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

I can appreciate your concern. There are two types of dtp vaccine.

D-Diptheria
P-pertussis
T:tetanus

The pertussis component of the vaccine is different in so called painless vaccine and the routine vaccine(whole cell).

Going by recommendation at present we do not advocate routine use of painless vaccine for primary vaccination. Routine whole cell vaccines are better as far as efficacy is concerned.

So,rather than worrying about minor after effects of vaccine like fever, pain at the site of injection etc please go for routine vaccine.

There is no such option available in hepatitis B. All vaccines are same.

I hope this helps you to understand the vaccines better.

Regards,

Dr.Pragnesh
