Question : I am retired RN AND A FAMILY MEMBER IS HAVING A PROSTECTOMY IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND I WILL BE DOING THE NURSING CARE POST-open @ his. Home. I forgot to mention that I. Am a retired Hospice nurse.

As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
After a Prostatectomy(TURP), many people have an urge incontinence, or even may have a little bleeding.(pinkish colour to urine).
If the biopsy is available, ensure the prostate gland report is known to you.
If there's constipation, ensure he should be taking a laxative.
If the bleeding is more, immediately report to the Urologist.
Also, if he develops fever, or straining to pass urine, report to the Urologist.
