Brief Answer:
Salt

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

I am gald to know that some efforts are made on part of your grandson but salt is missing in his fluids. Somebody exposed to excessive heat loses a good amount of fluids along with salts and this leads to development of heat stroke. So to prevent it person working in hot and humid environment should take plenty of salt along with fluids.
In addition ask him to take frequent beaks while working. I understand it is
difficult but this helps body cells to restore function after they are exhausted due to high temperature.

In addition ask him to keep some light clothe over head. I have seen this as effective measure in local population where I work.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.
