Question : Hi on the back left side of my tongue I have a cluster of red raised bumps. I don't seem to have them on the other side. What could be the cause of this?

Hello dear. I have read your query. The most common cause of red bumps on tongue are benign lesions like lymphoid nodules. These helps us to fight infections. Other than that taste buds can cause such bumps. These are all normal findings and hence not a cause of worry. Please send an image if possible so that I can give more definite answer.

I'm trying to take a picture but its hard since its on the side of my tongue all the way in the back. What can I do too make the red cluster go down, as I don't have them enlarged on the other side. Thank you in advance for you help.

hello. if it is painful, you can take some multivitamins and painkillers.

Hello dear. If it is a painful one, you can try multivitamin pill along with painkillers as i see it will be likely an aphthous lesion. However i still recommend you to take a pic with the help of somebody and send it to me. Definite opinion is possible only after seeing the pic.
