Question : I have a touch of food poisoning with stomach spasims. I am in Thailand now. How can I stop the pain. I have had diarrhea and vomiting but it is getting better. Now the pain. What drugs are recommended, antibiotics are readily available over the counter too

The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible gastroenteritis.
I suggest the following treatment.
1. tab ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day.
2. tab metronidazole 400 mg thrice a day
3. plenty of fluids
4. a probiotic as available locally
5. plenty of curds
I will also suggest testing a stool routine test if possible.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
