Question : my daughter is 9 months old and has accidentally swallowed 4 tablets of thyroxine(50 mcg) each . I am worried plz help . Can I do something at home?

If possible induce vomiting..I have suggested what to look out for

Hi.... I understand your concern. What you can do at home is -

1. Induce vomiting.

2. You can look for the danger signs or Red flag signs of thyroxine overdose. These include - insomnia, nervousness, irritability, fever, hot flushes, sweating, pounding heartbeats or palpitations, diarrhea, vomiting and nausea.

I tried to make her vomit ...but she was reluctant to do so . Its been 4 hrs n I am observing her. She is sleeping n doesn't seem to show any mentioned signs of overdose . How long shall I observe her more ?
