The after effects of ingesting good night liquid are variable and it can damage the stomach, esophagus and even lead to neurological symptoms. But the patient’s recovery and response depends on the amount of liquid swallowed and the time duration of treatment received. Just half a bottle is not likely to cause any problem.
Some of the possible problems would be nausea, vomiting,sore mouth and throat,hoarse voice, abdominal pain. In some people it can cause a drop in blood pressure, it can also be aspirated into the lung and cause pneumonia.
If large amount was ingested then damage to the organs can occur for weeks even after recovery.
It is best to consult a doctor for examination and evaluation.
