Question : hi doctor, entire digestive system can examine by ultrasound scan?. my two year old daughter eat a coin size plastic part from her playing doll one week before. we did not see that eating. but that plastic part didn't appear on doll. so I suspect she would eat that plastic part. I didn't see any plastic from her motion. she's motion also normal. she is well. but I have fear about this.

You should not worry too much as no one saw her swallowing the plastic item.
You can get a Plain x ray abdomen in erect posture for a clue.If Soft tissue shadow is not seen,then you can go for ultrasound abdomen. Ultrasound will give some idea regarding the location if it is done by a XXXXXXX and experienced Radiologist.
But,the foreign body will pass out in stool even though it is swallowed by mistake.
I have seen a metal rod of 2 inches coming out from analcanal.
As there is no distension of abdomen, vomiting or constipation; chances of Intestinal obstruction is ruled out.
Please consult a Paediatrician/Paediatric surgeon and proceed further.

thanks sir, no symptoms as you mentioned. I m having fear about x ray for my daughter. can it find by ultrasound scan?
