Brief Answer:
Hiccups indicate reflux. Feed in head up position

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking once again on HealthcareMagic.

1. You should feed the child every on demand but at about an interval of 2-3 hours.
2. The hiccups indicate reflux. It indicates that proper burping is needed. You should burp the baby for at least 15-20 mins after each feed. All you need to do is to hold the baby head end elevated for this duration. You can feed the child in head up position in case the child has hiccups.
3. The more the better. No need to worry. It indicates that you need not give top up formula feeds.
4. The baby can sleep 20 hours a day. You need not bother about how much the baby sleeps. It will get the sleep it requires.

Brief Answer:
Normal.

Detailed Answer:
As such coughing, sneezing and hiccups are normal in babies. So, if the child has hiccups in spite of proper burping you need not worry.

No issues with the coughing.

If the baby develops slight fever which medicine to be used?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Diptanshu Das (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
paracetamol

Detailed Answer:
If your child has fever with temperature more than 100°F, you need to give paracetamol (Sumol drops or P-100 drops) to it bring down. Also use tepid sponging.Brief Answer:
Slant the baby to 30° or 45°

Detailed Answer:
Usually we prefer cloth nappies (if you can make use of them) although diapers are more handy and can be used as per requirement.

In case of hiccups, realign the baby to a head up position and then continue to feed further.
