Suggest Remedies For Anxiety And Depression

Question: Hi, I was just into the doctor yesterday. She gave me a temporary prescription for xanax until the Prozac kicks in but SSRIs have little to know Effect on me. I also received a very minimal about of adderall. I'm currently involved in a DBT program for borderline personality disorder, but they don't have psychiatrist on their premises. (The non refillable prescriptions are because I saw was A nurse practitioner) any way, I have always had debilitating anxiety as in addition to the depression and borderline. This is the first time I've felt normal and able to function. I don't know if guys can get those prescriptions. This is my first time on this website.

I can understand hour concern. A log of individuals with anxiety develop persistent symptoms. What are the presenting symptoms you have? please provide details in follow up question.

Xanax and Adderall both are control drugs and are controlled by various laws. Online prescriptions are not accepted by most chemists. You have to visit a psychiatrist for prescription.

Nausea, heart palpitations, uncontrollably shaking , fidgety, headaches, panting, little control over emotions and extreme overreaction to innocuous statements or actions.

The symptoms like nausea, heart palpitations, uncontrollable shaking, fidgeting, panting, poor control over emotions, overreacting to actions etc suggest anxiety and should be evaluated properly. Xanax can help to control these symptoms of anxiety but this is not the drug that should be used for treatment.

SSRIs like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Sertraline etc are mainstay of treatment for such symptoms. These drugs if used properly help to control the symptoms if taken regularly. These are safe drugs and can be even used for long durations also. Please consult a psychiatrist for help.
