Question: My colleague keeps confronting me for every single thing and this keeps bothering me a lot. How do I overcome this?

I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

What your describing is a very common entity experienced by each and every one of us at some point of time in the career..

To overcome this, first of all, you need to be very calm and composed in the first place.. if the confrontation's happening over work related issues, then always think twice before putting up things upfront, and do your home-work very well so that there can't be any flaws which can give rise to any such controversies..

Secondly, seek second opinion (of another colleague, with whom your having good terms) and discuss if there's any thing wrong on your part (this is Extremely important, as if there's any flaw, then it should be rectified at the earliest for obvious reasons..)

If it's not related to work-related issues, and confrontation's happening over other issues, then the best thing to do is simply ignore them, take it casually and smile and leave that place without further arguing (remember, ignorance is a bliss in this scenario), don't be apprehensive and if despite doing this, he/she keeps on confronting then simple avoid the person and mingle with other colleagues whom your having better understanding with..
