Question : Hi, I am having trouble with my bladder for the second time in 3 weeks. It is a bladder infection. The first time I took meds it was twice a day for 3 days. Now it is back again. I do not remember the name of the medication.

I would like to know the actual symptoms that you are experiencing,please answer the following questions for me so that I can guide you accordingly.

Do you go to the washroom more frequently?
Do you feel pain or burning sensation while urinating?
Do you feel pain in your lower abdomen and flanks?
Do you have a fever?
Are you nauseated?

The medication that you are asking about could be an antibiotic like ciprofloaxcin if you previously had bladder infection as these are usually prescribed in urinary tract infections.

Hi,

To answer your questions please read the following
1. Yes
2.slight burning
3.The pain in my lower abdomen is more pronounced.
4. No Fever
5. No

I am urinating quite frequently and feel pressure consistently in my abdomen and my urine smells terrible.
I am 99.9% sure that the medication I took was Ciprofloaxcin. Could you please prescribe the medications for 7 days as 3 days seems not to have worked.

It's likely to be cystitis. Empirical treatment with fosfomycin as a single 3 g dose or ciprofloxacin for 5 to 7 days would suffice.
