Brief Answer:
Rest- Ice- Pressure- Elevation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to port your question.

I understand your concern.

At home you cannot do nothing more then what you are doing:
-- Ice its good, but not in direct contact with the skin.
-- Pressure- don't remove the pressure unless it has passed some time, lets say 15 minutes, constantly.
-- Keep the place elevated above the level of the heart.
-- Do not stop your medication, unless you talk with your doctor and he tells you to do so.

If it is a big cat, and the bleeding its not going away with the above measures, then I would suggest going to the ER, so they would apply hospital observation and suggest to remove your medication if necessary but only in very big bleeding.

Hope this is helpful.
