Posted on Fri, 22 Apr 2016
Question: I got bit multiple times in August, possibly noseeums as there were about 14 bites on my outer left arm and 9 or so on my right. Some have healed but I still have 7 on the left and 5 on the right that are raised, scabbed, and itch. I am using anti itch cream and Neosporin. What should I be using?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for submitting your question.

From the image you provided and because the skin lesions are still present after many months, it would be reasonable to see your physician for a physical examination and assessment. It may be possible that a superimposedinfection has developed within some of the areas of bites. Your doctor might consider an antibiotic prescription. In general, it is worthwhile to have a physical examination when skin lesions do not resolve.
