Question : Hello! For the past 5 years at least, I usually go anywhere from 2 days up to 2 weeks without a bowel movement and I don't know why. Sometimes my abdomen will start to hurt but then I will go to the bathroom. I haven't had to go to the doctor or the hospital as a result of it and I never really thought about it until a lot of people started saying they poop almost everyday. So I just feel that I should be worried or something... Do you know what's going on?? Thank you! Have a good day!

I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
- Normal bowel movement is between every day to twice per week.
- You are reporting to have bowel movement even once in 15 days.This situation is called constipation. The fact that you have abdominal pain during this time indicates for constipation too.
If I were your treating doctor I would suggest to change lifestyle and increase physical activity.
I would suggest to :
-use plenty of water
-avoid fast foods
-use olive oil
-increase physical activity.
