Question: I have a cough with a lot of mucus in my chest.

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

You haven't given many details about your cough like for how long you have it, Did you have any allergy, is there any breathing difficulty, are you a smoker, do you take any medicines for high BP like ace inhibitors and so on. Have you undergone any investigation.

As of now it looks like allergic cough or it could be cough variant asthma or reflux disease induced cough if you have reflux disease.

I suggest for the time being you take a tablet of montair lc daily, a pan 40 tablet and use symbicort inhaler.

If cough doesn't subside in few weeks time you need to undergo investigations so consult a pulmonologist.
