Question : Hi my son is 3 and a half..he is passing stool 5-6 times in a day from past 5 days..he seems okay to me but bit concerned of his motion..doctor suggested to give bifilac and entrogermina..he is completely on formula feed plz advice.his stool seems bit cheesy and somehow watery..but he is normal as always playing sleeping and all..can it be due to summer weather??

Thanks for writing to us.

Usually loose stools is viral infection and will take even a week or so to settle down.
I don't think that just summer heat is causing it.
Its mostly infection.

I would suggest you to follow your pediatrician advice.
The medicines are appropriate.

Ensure that he drinks plenty of liquids and electrolyte solutions like electral to keep him hydrated.
If he becomes dull with poor urine output, consult your doctor again.
