Question : My granddaughter has has liquid stools since Saturday. Saw her PCP yesterday. Advised Brat diet which is being followed. Tonight she had another large liquid bowel movement and my daughter said it looked like there were 4-5 "green beans" maybe 1" long each. No fever. No pain. Good appetite. Thoughts?

Hello. I just read through your question and looked at the picture.
Sounds like your granddaughter is recovering from a stomach virus. I agree with the BRAT diet recommendation. There was nothing about the description of the stool or the picture that seems out of the ordinary for this. The fact that she is without fever and pain, and has an appetite, is the best sign. The stools will likely normalize over the next few days and this will be over.
