Brief Answer:
Take symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.

Excessive sputum from mouth is likely indicative of throat infection (pharyngitis) which either could be viral infection or sometimes due to bacterial infection.

But let me know some more information from you,

Since how many days your are having excess sputum?
Are there any other symptoms like fever or sore throat?

Since you have already been given antibiotic course,I would suggest you to take some symptomatic treatment.

Do steam inhalation 3 or 4 times daily with warm salt water gargles.

Oral antiseptic mouth wash (like listerine or chlorhexidine) would also be helpful.

Avoid cold water or cold products, doing so may cause further inflammation in throat.

Nebulisation twice daily with broncho-dilators respules (Levolin or duolin or budecort) will be helpful to get rid of mucus easily.

NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) will have very less role here unless you have pain in throat.

By this symptomatic treatment, your sputum will start to reduce day by day and we expect that it may take 7 or 10 days to subside it completely.

Brief Answer:
Levolin or duolin with budecort respules.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for sharing more information.

You can buy Levolin or duolin with budecort respules for nebulisation as I already mentioned.

You can also continue with flomist nasal spray and steam inhalation.

Also, there is no issue to take predmet 16 (methylprednisolone) as directed by your doctor. It will help to reduce further inflammation.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip kabra
