Question : Hi
I am 25 years old. I have an infection in both my groins and skin covering the testicles. It is red and patchy. I also have mild itchy sensation under the fore-skin of my penis. I am having this infection for over a month now. I used Candiderma cream for my groins. But i cannot see any improvement in my condition. I am so worried and concerned as this infection might have any effects on my sexual life (although i have never had an intercourse before..)

Brief Answer:
fungal infection is most likely possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I have read your query. I understand your concern. I havr received your amages also.
As per details, it seems that you are suffering from fungal infection of skin. In such cases, I prefer to advise oral antifungals like fluconazole and topical clotrimazole cream/miconazole cream. In non responding cases, consideration is given to start other oral antifungals like Itraconazole/Terbinafine.
For symptomatic relief of itch, you may take antihistaminics like levocetrizine.
Keep the area clean and dry . You may need to continue the medications for 6-8weeks. You should visit your doctor for prescription. You can share my opinion with him. I am sure that he would agree with this.
I hope it helps. Take care.
