I take klonopin two times a day at 1 milligrams each. I also have Xanax 1 milligram which I take only when I have Panic breakthrough. my last doctor's visit was in March. I moved. My doctor moved to California. I just acquired health insurance one week ago. I have tried to get in with doctors at my new location but I have to wait 4 openings. Right now I do not have anyone looking after me or my medicine management if you can offer any relief or suggestions I would be very grateful. thank you
Brief Answer:
Consultation
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.
Unfortunately medications can only be prescribed by doctors who have evaluated you in-person. However, while you are waiting for a doctor appointment, there are other things you can try for anxiety. These include deep breathing exercises, guided meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation. Instructions for each of these things including tutorial videos can be found on YouTube. You should also search for a therapist, such as a CBT therapist, as therapy can be equally or even more effective than medications.
