The magnesium, CQ10, bananas, etc. have not helped. Most of the time the pain is on my right leg just below the inside of my knee. The pain goes away in about 30 seconds when I stand up. This only happens during the night, never in daylight. There is no fever, chills or other symptoms. Usually the pain is located under my knee, but twice the pain has gone up my leg to my groin area causing very sharp pain which subsides after 1-2 minutes.

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
As you may know, the exact cause of Charley horse may not be known unless detailed history, clinical evaluation and examination is done.
It is necessary to get the blood tests done including serum electrolytes, calcium, magnesium and tests as per clinical evaluation by a Doctor.
If a cause is found, it is easy to treat the problem specifically.
The area of the leg just below the inside of right knee means the inner part of gastrocnemius is involved and hence it is important to get an actual examination of the area to see whether the tendon area of sartorius, gacilis and semitendinosus is inflamed or not. This can instigate the pain in the inner of thigh as you have explained and experienced.
Also needed is to see whether there is local varicose veins hence the role of Color doppler examination of the affected area.
All such things help to get a specific treatment if the cause is found.

I hope this answer helps you.
