Question: Hi,
I am suffering from bleeding Piles from a week. I have started taking some medicines.
The course follows as :
1. Omeprazole in morning empty stomach
2. Uniezyme and Oflox after eating food
3. Ethamcip to reduce the bleeding - taking this form yesterday only.
I am eating lot of fruits, milk and daliya from last day. If i continue eating high fibre foods, will this cure or I need to go to doctor ?

Treatment of Piles depends on the Stage/Grade.
In initial stages (Stage 1&2) , bleeding can be controlled by Diet,medicines.
In Stage 3&4,surgery has to be done.
You can take the medicine prescribed by your doctor.
Eat high fiber diet,fruits, green leafy vegetables.
Drink plenty of liquids.
Your stool should be soft.In spite of dietary modifications, if the stool is hard ;I prescribe Lactulose solution 10ml at bedtime. It is a stool softener. Dosage can be adjusted depending on the response.
You might have operated for Fissure in ano, at the age of 12.It is a common and painful condition in that age group, with bleeding.
You can wait for 1 week to see the response.
If there is no response, you should consult your Doctor, preferably a General surgeon,get examined clinically and proceed accordingly. Recurrence of Fissure in ano is common. Doctor will examine and tell you whether you are having Piles or Fissure in ano.

Thank you for your response. If I follow all these things, then also how much time will this take to heel. I am applying avonate ointement as well from 2 days.

I am a software engineer and my whole day job is to site in front of laptop.
Is prolonged sitting bad in this situation.
How should I deal with this in this case. I cannot take a whole week leave.

Hi Doctor,
I am taking all the medications. Yesterday in afternoon and night I had my Stool proper without blood.
But in morning it started bleeding without stool as well. When I was urinating, i saw drops of blood coming from ractum.
after that when I passed stool, no blood came out.
Is this normal?
