Brief Answer:
Need evaluation of tubes and his semen...

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the question. Here are some thoughts to start off:

1. It is normal for a couple to take up to 12 months to get pregnant. So, at just 6 months of trying, I would not worry too much because this is not unusual

2. Usually, infertility is not something that runs in a family, and if you are referring to his sisters, then this is probably not an issue for him. That being said, given this statement, it might be worth him getting a test of his semen to make sure that his counts are normal

3. You can still get pregnant with one fallopian tube, but it might matter depending on the reasons why you lost your other tube. Did you have a ectopic pregnancy? Sometimes an ectopic pregnancy can affect both tubes in the same way.

Please give me more details about #3 and I will help you with some recommendations.

Brief Answer:
You need evaluate the uterus and remaining tube.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the additional information. Based on the fact that you had one ectopic pregnancy and lost a tube, you might at risk for this happening in the other tube. In addition, given that there might be something wrong with the remaining tube (for the same reasons that you had an ectopic in the missing tube) it would be worthwhile to evaluate this tube. So here is what should happen:

1. You need to make an appointment with an OB/GYN
2. They can help arrange a semen analysis for your Partner
3. You need evaluation of the uterus and remaining tube. This is probably best done with an XRAY type procedure called a hysterosalpingogram. This is an excellent way to see the inside contour of the remaining tube and to see whether or not it is open.

I hope that this helps - please let me know.
