Suggest Remedies For Insect Bite On The Forearm

Question: A few weeks ago I noticed two bite marks on my forearm. No pain, itch or sting. Can you look at these pics and hive me your opinion?I just wanted to clarify my question...Have you ever seen marks like this on a patient? You should be able to enlarge the photos as one really has excellent resolution. I'm pretty sure its a bite, but I am not sure from what. I never felt anything. I woke up one morning and saw two moist scabs on my forearm, about 3-4mm apart. The pictures you see were taken right after I wiped the blood away. The wound has since healed and left two very faint white pin prick marks, with a very faint scar. Again, the whole time I never felt any pain, sting or itch. I do implore you to really look at these pics and give me your best opinions. I can send more pics throughout the healing process if necessary. Please feel free to ask any of your colleagues as well. I'm really looking for some answers. Thank You!

Brief Answer:
Looks like insect bite reaction, upload more pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photographs.
According to the look of the pictures and their sudden onset they seem to be insect bite reaction.
I would recommend you to upload some more photos so that I can have a better view of the lesions and can comment on this.

Dr, Sawhney...Thank you for your initial response...I've added 2 more photos of the wound on days 4 and 5....It now has been nearly 3 weeks and the wound has healed. Again, it never hurt, itched or stung the whole time. There is now a small pinkish very faint burn-like mark containing two tiny pin prick holes about 3-4mm apart. Please provide your best opinion. Please consult with other experts as well. I really want to find out what this likely was and please be candid. I don't want to rule out anything and that is why I am seeking expertise. Thank you again and I look forward to your response.

Brief Answer:
Looks like insect bite reaction only

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the newly attached photographs in detail as well as gone through your entire history.
Also I have discussed your case with my co dermatologists and they are of the opinion that it was insect bite reaction.
The history and the clinical presentation doesn't fit into anything else.
Don't worry and relax as it is nothing serious.

Dr, Sawhney...Thank You...I do have to ask...Did you or any of your colleagues discuss the possibility of this being a bat bite (or nip)? What concerns me is the spacing and appearance of the bites...Also, the fact that it was painless, without any itch or sting. I realize that this possibility is highly unlikely but I was hoping that someone out there may have seen or treated someone with a bat bite for comparison purposes. Again, if you know of anyone in your medical profession that could look at these photos and perhaps recognize anything that would shed more light, it would be very helpful to me. Maybe an ER doctor, nurse, etc? Although I've never seen a single bat near my home, I do know that smaller species of bat can be found in the area of the United States I reside. Yes, I know this concern anxiety related, but it is difficult for me to rule out the remote possibility. Thank You Again.
