Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern
Topical treatment alone may not be enough to treat fungal infection. If i was the treating doctor i would suggest an oral antifungal e.g either fluconazole or terbinafine tablet in addition to topical antifungal e.g terbinafine 1% cream.
These are prescription medications.
In addition you may also take a tablet of cetrizine 10mg for symptomatic relief from itching.
It would also be worth screening for fasting blood sugar levels as recurrent fungal infections are quite common in those patients with diabetes.
