Question : I was diagnosed with pneumonia last year and have had a persistent cough, on and off. This year I experienced laryngitis and bronchitis and continue to have flem build up in back of my throat with coughing onset from breatihing cold air and drinking cold drink. When talking, I will cough and on occasion have what I would call air restriction . Thank you. YYYY@YYYY

I read your question and i understand your concern. Pneumonia in last year followed by cough and phlegm build up triggered by cold air and fluids, should be evaluated for non pulmonary causes as well. Gastric discomfort like acid reflux can also give recurrent sore throat and cough upon irritation. Laryngitis and pharyngitis may also occur in that.

However a complete thorough evaluation and examination of lungs like pulmonary functions,c hest radiographs, laryngoscopies etc should be performed to rule out any airway disease.
